What Do Our Interns Do?
These dedicated individuals bring so much to the Outdoor Lab program: spending a full semester on-site teaching classes, mentoring High School Leaders, and working alongside teachers and staff to create powerful outdoor experiences for students. Their efforts ensure that every sixth-grader who visits Outdoor Lab leaves with a deeper understanding of nature and essential life skills.
Our interns work tirelessly to guide students in core classes like archery, astronomy, ecology, and Leave No Trace. They bring history to life, leading explorations of our cherished sites, and help each student experience the magic of outdoor learning. Along the way, the interns themselves gain critical skills in leadership, teamwork, and communication—building a strong foundation for their future careers.
How can you Support?
With Colorado Gives Day approaching, we invite you to consider a donation to the Outdoor Lab Foundation. Your support ensures that we can continue funding intern stipends, maintaining our campuses, and providing the resources needed to keep Outdoor Lab thriving. A gift today makes an impact all year round, supporting the staff, interns, and students who bring Outdoor Lab to life.
