2022 High School Leader Scholarship Winners

Your 2022 High School Leader Scholarship Winners!

This year we are pleased to provide three more graduating seniors with $2,000 scholarships through the High School Leader Scholarship Program. High School Leaders are vital to the transformative outdoor experiences we all know are so impactful for our young people while they’re at Outdoor Lab. We are in awe of the over 900 high school students who volunteered their time to make a connection with a 6th grader, support a teacher, create a moment of joy with their group, or provide comfort for someone who might have been struggling.

This year’s winners are Faith Wolff of Golden High School, Vincent Vuong of Pomona High School, and Irelynn TerraNami of Standley Lake High School.

Faith is looking forward to attending Fort Lewis College in the fall. She has served as both a High School Leader and an Intern. She has been an invaluable asset to Principal Gneiser and his team at Windy Peak this year.

Irelynn is moving to New York City to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She’ll spend two years there, before transitioning to Los Angeles for two more years in the program in order to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She was inspired by her High School Leader when she was a 6th grader and took seriously her responsibility as someone the students look up to when it was her turn to serve.

Vincent will attend Front Range Community College in the Fall in anticipation of pursuing a career grounded in community service. In his application, he reflected on how creating moments of joy for someone else can lead to lasting positive memories and a powerful bond between two people who may have been strangers only a few days before.

At the Foundation, our mission is to nurture and sustain this wonderful institution we have connected to our public school system. The hard work, caring, and dedication that our High School Leaders show every year heartens us to keep striving for the very best Outdoor Lab experience possible for our students. Vincent, Faith, and Irelynn are exemplary models for the program in that they have been both positively impacted by the program and have chosen to give back to the program so that others could experience the lasting effects of a transformative experience in the outdoors.
