Windy Peak Intern

New or Returning Intern: New
Hometown: Morrison

Why did you want to be an Intern?
I absolutely loved serving as a high school leader the two times I went up to Windy Peak.

What do you look most forward to during your internship?
I am most excited to teach the sixth graders not only on the aspects of the class but more also the importance of becoming stewards of our environment.

What skills do you hope to gain from this experience?
I hope to gain a better insight on working in outdoor education as well as the necessary skills that come with the it.

If you attended Outdoor Lab as a 6th grade student, where did you go and what was your favorite experience?
Windy Peak, and my favorite experience was being surrounded by the beautiful mountains with the greatest of friends. Also, the food was pretty rad.

Did you serve as a High School Leader? If yes, where did you serve and what was your favorite experience?
Yes, and I served as a leader for Windy Peak twice, my favorite experience being the success of teaching my own creative writing class and how it inspired sixth graders to write and express their incredible creativity.

Do you have plans for after your Internship? If so, what are they?
To study aviation at Metro State while taking flight training courses in order to become a commercial airline pilot. Then I will be set for my traveling lifestyle where I love to explore and adventure around the world.
