About

Jefferson County Outdoor Lab School offers a full semester internship to high school and college students during the spring and fall semesters.

As an intern at Mount Evans or Windy Peak Outdoor Lab School, you will experience a powerful opportunity to learn and develop valuable work skills in the fields of outdoor and environmental education, stewardship, and professional teamwork. You will help provide 6th grade students opportunities for hands-on, experiential, learning in an outdoor setting. You will work as part of a team to help students learn about ecology, geology, hydrology, astronomy, navigation, archery and physics, history, and low-ropes initiatives. Interns will guide students in stewardship of themselves, their community, and the environment.

Room and board is provided through the work week. Interns will not stay on campus during the weekends or vacations.
