New or Returning Intern: New
Hometown: Lakewood, CO
Why did you want to be an Intern?
I wanted to be surrounded by nature and in a position of influence to younger generatons. Having the chance to egnite the light for adventure and curiousness in 6th graders each week, and watch as they grow and appreciate this experience is why I wanted to be an intern.
What do you most look forward to during your internship? What is your favorite part about being an intern?
I look forward to experiencing the beautiful Mt. Evans biosphere trail during the fall season each week!
What skills do you hope to gain or have gained from this experience?
I hope to strengthen the connection made with students and staff members during each week, as well as improve my leadership and time management skills.
If you attended Outdoor Lab as a 6th grade student, where did you go and what was your favorite experience?
I attended Windy peak as a 6th grader. My favorite experience was a dance party that we had in the cabin, all unified as a family and having a great time! I also enjoyed having my birthday over the week and getting to be celebrated on the birthday chair!
Did you serve as a High School Leader? If yes, where did you serve and what was your favorite experience?
I served as a high school leader four times during my high school career both at Windy peak and Mt. Evans. One of my most favorite experiences was teaching biosphere in the snow at Windy peak and having a blast with my core group. We made the most of the bad weather and made it an adventure!
